A Friend

A friend is understanding

In times when your demanding

Lends an ear when your crying

tells you joke until your laughing

A friend is always there

In times of sorrow and fear

Someone who always cares

Wether you're far or near

A friend is always loyal

All the times sincere and real

She will always stand by you

And respects your point of view

I compose this poem last January 18, 2007. This is poem is another composition of mine. It's all about a friend. For me a friend is someone who understands you. Someone who is there through ups and downs. Someone who cares for you. Someone who respects you. Someone who makes you laugh when your not feeling good. Someone who is there ready to lend a hand. Someone who shares his or her sentiments. Someone who is honest and can be trusted to.

For my four years stay in the University of the Philippines, I have met a lot of people whom I have no connection with. But sooner as we became very close, we treated each other as friends. Through ups and downs everybody is there to lend a hand. Though there maybe times of difficulties we still manage to solve them. Each passing day, our bond became very strong. They are one of the greatest gifts that I recieve from Him. Each day as I see them, they give me inspiration to do good. Though time may run so fast and soon to part we must. I'm proud to say that I have them, Batch 2006-2007. I'll always remember them, even if some of us are going to some other places. They are there in my High School life so do I. I'm proud of my batch.
